Newsypeople – Porsha Williams’ Husband Faces Hefty Judgment Over Jet Deal Dispute, Porsha Williams’ estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, is embroiled in a legal dispute over an unpaid private jet bill, which has resulted in a hefty judgment against his company, Simcol Petroleum Limited Company. The situation has escalated into a complex legal and personal battle, intertwined with the couple’s divorce proceedings.

Simon Guobadia’s company, Simcol, entered into a deal with NetJets Aviation, Inc., a company that operates a fractional aircraft program, in August 2020. The agreement involved leasing a 12.5% interest in a Cessna Citation aircraft, which was later increased to 15.62%. However, NetJets alleges that Simcol breached the terms of the Program Agreement by failing to timely pay all amounts due under the agreement. This led to the termination of the Program Agreement by NetJets on February 28, 2023.

In response to the termination, NetJets sued Simcol for the outstanding amount of $974,213.11, which included unused “Managements & Monthly Fee” for the remaining years of a 5-year contract. NetJets claimed that Simcol had agreed to settle the matter in August 2023 by paying $839,000 via monthly installments. However, Simcol reportedly made only the first $25,000 installment payment and failed to pay the second one due in October 2023 or any additional payments. NetJets demanded that Simcol pay the remaining $814,000 owed plus interest.

Despite the lawsuit, Simon Guobadia has expressed confidence in resolving the dispute and has stated that it is not uncommon to have business disputes. He has also criticized Porsha Williams for allegedly bringing an armed guard to their home with their children and suggested she should move into a house she owns nearby. Additionally, Simon has demanded that RHOA producers turn over any communications exchanged with Porsha about the divorce and any footage shot at his home.

The legal battle has taken a turn when the court granted a default judgment of $887,000 against Simcol, following NetJets’ demand for a default judgment. This judgment comes as Simon continues to fight Porsha in divorce court, where Porsha has accused Simon of refusing to leave their home despite their prenup stating she would have exclusive use of the home in the event of a divorce. Porsha’s lawyer has highlighted that the news reports of Simon’s alleged immigration issues and the imminent threat of deportation were shocking and affected her mental and emotional wellbeing.
