Who Will Be The New Co-Host On ‘The View’? Fans Are Eager As The Season Kicks Off Soon
‘The View’ debuts season 26 in September. Since 1997, The View has been a consistent fixture in ABC’s lineup of daytime shows. The ABC morning talk show has employed more than 20 women in permanent cohost positions to date.
The series was started by renowned journalist Barbara Walters and has always included a panel of people from different generations. From 1997 until her retirement in 2014, Walters sat on the committee herself.
The hosts of The View conduct interviews and talk about “Hot Topics,” which include topics including politics, entertainment, women’s issues, health, and wellness.
The final constant Republican panelist on the show was Meghan McCain. On July 1, 2021, she announced her departure from the program.
Since then, Goldberg, Behar, Haines, Hostin, and guest panelist Ana Navarro have formed the foundation of the program.

As fans discussed who would join the panel permanently, word spread on Instagram that the series would introduce its new co-host this week.
Since the program’s September 2021 debut, which launched its current run of episodes, about two dozen women have alternated in and out of the conservative seat.
Who should occupy the fifth seat on the panel is a topic on which the show’s audience has strong opinions.
Rumor has it that Alyssa Farah Griffin, the former director of communications for the previous President Donald Trump, is the front-runner for the important position. A strong candidate for the fifth position is reportedly Tara Setmayer, an ABC News and CNN contributor.
However, other people don’t care about either of the women and are pushing for Navarro to get a permanent seat at the table.
“It won’t be Ana Navarro, who has proven time and time again that she deserves to be a full-time member of The View. One fan gushed over her on Instagram: “She’s knowledgeable, clear in her intentions, and clever as a whip.
Another viewer remarked, “I wish it were Ana, but I don’t think she’ll go from Miami to New York City.”
Politically, Ana and I could not be more in agreement, and I adore her. I admire Alyssa’s respectful and open-minded approach to discussions, though. The third admirer explained, “So for a conservative voice, I believe she’d be exactly what the program is about.
Another “perspective” was expressed by a fourth supporter, who said, “I think Tara Setmayer is going to be there full time!”
Info: Ana Navarro reportedly ‘auditioned’ for the show but was not selected, say sources
According to a Variety article from July 26, Navarro “auditioned” for the show but was not chosen.
The news source, which cited a number of sources regarding Navarro’s placement on the series, claimed that Navarro was “disappointed” that she had not been selected for the coveted permanent seat.
On ABC, The View premieres at 11 a.m. EST.
