Also, according to public information officer Henry Wofford, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office got a tip that Trinchero, 35, was illegally in possession of firearms and ammunition. Officers secured a search warrant for two of Trinchero’s properties just after 10 a.m. on Friday. Also, around 1:30 p.m., officers pulled him over for a traffic stop; after going to his Napa home to be detained there, Trinchero provided detectives with the location of his firearms.

However, an EMT had come on the scene to aid his girlfriend when Trinchero was found guilty of abusing her in 2017. As a felon, he is not permitted to own weapons or ammunition.

Also, according to Wofford, police seized 11 weapons from his second property. One of the weapons was an AR-14 rifle equipped with characteristics found on assault rifles, such as a pistol grip and a collapsible stock (possession of an assault weapon is illegal in California). According to Wofford, they also discovered many magazines and ammunition containers on the premises. These three offenses are all felonies.

But, after police discovered less than a gram of methamphetamine in the vehicle Trinchero was operating during the traffic check, they added that Trinchero was also detained on suspicion of misdemeanor methamphetamine possession.

Moreover, Wofford claimed that “he did assist with this probe.” He was cooperative, and he was booked without incident, as stated in the report.
