According to the Sun, After her contract with Dance Moms expired on April 30, Abby Miller left the show.
She resigned in March 2017 after being sentenced to a year and a day in prison for bankruptcy fraud.

Season 7 of Lifetime has hired Cheryl Burke and Laurianne Gibson as hosts. Miller returned for Season 8 of Dance Moms the following year.
Miller also gained fame after starring in Lifetime’s Dance Moms, which debuted in 2011. Miller was observed while she instructed young ballet dancers aged 6 to 14 in ballet classes.
Fraud: How Long Did She Serve In Jail?
Abby Miller was sentenced to 366 days in prison for felony bankruptcy fraud in July 2017. She was also charged with 20 counts of fraud for concealing some of her earnings from the show.
Similarly, she admitted to concealing over $700,000 in profits and failed to disclose about $120,000 in smuggled Australian cash into the US.

She was also sentenced to eight months in prison in California for the same offences. She was released from prison early after being diagnosed with spine cancer.
Abby Lee Miller Health Condition & illness
Miller had a spinal illness that progressed from the bottom of her neck to her lower back when she was first treated.
After undergoing spinal surgery to remove a large tumour from her back, the 56-year-old was paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.
She continued to fight for her life, and in May of this year, she was declared cancer-free. The choreographer documented her journey and shared glimpses of her cancer battle on social media.
Her treatment at several rehabilitation centres and physical therapy has also assisted her in making great progress over time. Miller went on to film the eighth season of Dance Moms: Resurrection after finishing her rehabilitation.
