The Royal Family Obstructs Filming Of The Season 5 Of The Crown With Influence- Explored. According to reports, the royal family used its clout to prevent season 5 of the Netflix series The Crown from going into production.

The future chapters are expected to cover the slow collapse of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage, which formally terminated in 1996.

According to Royal author Tina Brown, the royals continue to use their influence to prevent filming in crucial locations that are essential to the plot even as the series continues to focus on some of the darker aspects of the family’s history.

Speaking to the A.V. Club, Royal Author Tina Brown alleges the family remains angry with their representation on the Netflix series.

According to Brown, the clan used their clout to stop shooting when they could. Therefore, crucial historical locations that are essential to the plot may be excluded.

In essence, Brown claims that the royal family is “extremely upset about the course of this season.” They frequently prevent The Crown from filming in areas where they have sway, according to Brown.

“For instance, [Eton College] refused to allow them to film there, which was obviously a sign that they recognized William’s views and that they weren’t going to agree. People have made it abundantly clear that they are unhappy, and we won’t try to make things better, the royal author said.

Princes William and Harry specifically attended Eton College, one of the world’s most distinguished high schools. It is situated close to Windsor, outside of London.

Brown speculated that Prince Harry would not like how Princess Diana is portrayed in the current season of the Netflix customer favorite.

The portrayal of Harry’s mother in the upcoming season of The Crown, according to Brown, “is not going to be anything that Harry will approve of.”

We are unsure about Diana’s exact role in the series, though. But as of now, nothing that has been revealed about their mother has pleased them,” the author wrote.

James Corden, the host of the Late Late Show with James Corden, learned that Prince Harry had seen earlier seasons of the Netflix series in February 2021.

Still, Harry understood the show as a staged drama based on real-life occurrences.

He did concede, though, that he preferred watching a fictitious portrayal of his family’s life on television to reading tabloid nonsense that purported to be the reality.
