After working as a bassist on the band’s studio albums from 1984 to 1986.

Beginning with the release of If I Should Fall from Grace with God in 1988, which included the commercially successful hit “Fairytale of New York,” and concluding with the song “Love You ‘Til the End” from the band’s final album, “Pogue Mahone.”

Shane MacGowan and other members of his band, The Pogues, created the group in 1982 in London, and throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, they rose to prominence all over the world.

Following MacGowan’s departure in 1991, the band carried on with Joe Strummer and later Spider Stacy before disbanding in 1996. From late 2001 until 2014, they went on tour as a group while not releasing any new music.
