Filmmaker Janicza Bravo has arrived in an opulent look fit for the reimagined Rococo Revival Parlor room she created for the Met’s “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” exhibition.
Anna Wintour, who has presided over the Met Gala since 1995, arrived on the red carpet in Chanel haute couture by Virginie Viard.

The Met Gala, or the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, is dubbed the “Super Bowl of celebrity red carpets” by many.
The dress code for this year’s theme is ‘Gilded Glamour,’ which corresponds to the theme of ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion,’ which is a follow-up to last year’s ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.’
Tickets for the lavish event are said to cost up to $35,000 each, with tables costing between $200,000 and $300,000. Last year’s bash raised a stunning $16.4 million for the Met’s Costume Institute.
This year’s hosts are Regina King, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who replace Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman, and Naomi Osaka.
The Elvis cast is blinged out—Kacey Musgraves included. She’s in a custom Prada beaded gown paired with black gloves and a faux fur fan. Asked about the gilded glamour theme, Musgraves said, “I think of studding obviously. So, Prada really hooked us up with that.”
Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife have arrived on the red carpet as Met co-hosts. Miranda’s outfit’s standout feature? Those elongated lapels.
With a layered floral printed tulle shirt and traditional black trousers, actor Harris Dickinson wears a Dior Men outfit from head to toe.
