The Met Gala, or the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, is dubbed the “Super Bowl of celebrity red carpets” by many.
The dress code for this year’s theme is ‘Gilded Glamour,’ which corresponds to the theme of ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion,’ which is a follow-up to last year’s ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.’
Tickets for the lavish event are said to cost up to $35,000 each, with tables costing between $200,000 and $300,000. Last year’s bash raised a stunning $16.4 million for the Met’s Costume Institute.
This year’s hosts are Regina King, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who replace Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman, and Naomi Osaka.
