OPPO and Huawei signs a patent cross-licensing agreement covering cellular standard patents including 5G announced. The Chinese technology giant has announced that it has signed a patent cross-licensing agreement with its biggest Chinese rival, OPPO.

“Through 20 years of continuous innovation, Huawei has formed a large and highly valuable patent portfolio in areas such as 5G, Wi-Fi, and audio/video codecs in the global market,” said Huawei Intellectual Property. Department Manager Alan Huang said.
