Nigeria has officially announced its squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.
Both friendlies are expected to provide a strong test for the Super Eagles while also giving head coach Eric Chelle the opportunity to experiment ahead of the 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign.

The squad remains largely familiar with several experienced internationals maintaining their places in the team.
However, two inclusions have generated major attention among supporters.
Oseni Owen of Plymouth Argyle has received a call-up to the senior national team.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo of Wrexham AFC has also been included in the squad for the upcoming matches.
Another notable inclusion is Alhassan Yusuf, whose last invitation to the Super Eagles came in March 2025 during Nigeria’s FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.
