Mohammed Kudus Keeps Black Stars Last Hopes: In a tense match at the Education City Stadium, Ghana defeated South Korea by a score of 3-2 after losing to Portugal by the same margin.
The Black Stars led 2-0 at the break thanks to Mohammed Salisu and Mohammed Kudus, but Cho Gue-two sung’s goals tied the score for Korea. But Kudus was there to snag what ultimately proved to be the winning goal.
Mohammed Kudus and Gue-Sung Cho both scored twice as Ghana edged South Korea 3-2 in a thrilling Group H match to maintain their World Cup hopes.
After Mohammed Salisu and Kudus handed the Black Stars a 2-0 lead at halftime. They appeared poised to coast to three points in order to escape an early elimination.
After the half, however, Cho scored twice in three minutes to tie the score. So in the 68th minute, Ajax’s 22-year-old Kudus scored the game’s winning goal.
