The brother of professional Australian football player Scott Pendlebury played for the Collingwood VFL club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Scott’s older brother, Kristopher Pendlebury, led the Collingwood VFL football team after winning the Joseph Memorial Trophy.

He failed to join the Australian Football League, though. Ryan Pendlebury, the younger brother of the AFL standout, has played for three different VFL teams.

According to DailyMail UK, Alex is now 32 years old. After getting married in 2016, the couple had their first child in 2017, a son, Jax who is now 5 years old. Recently in 2020, they added a second toddler to their family, Darcy who is now 2.

Career: Scott Pendlebury Is An AFL Player- Explored

Fun fact: An AFL player started his athletic career by playing basketball in high school. He then received a full athletic scholarship to enroll at Canberra’s Australian Institute of Sport.

Pendlebury, however, made the decision to leave the U-18 basketball squad and pursue a different professional path just three weeks after enrolling at AIS. In order to play professionally, he returned to Victoria and joined Gippsland Power in the TAC Cup.

In 2005, Pendlebury participated in two games for the U-18 Vic Country squad, averaging 17 possessions each game. He represent them in the TAC Cup that same year. He had a notable season with Gippsland, and Collingwood FC selected him to play AFL on the advice of his manager. Since 2006, he has made history in the club.

Athlete, 34, claimed his first Copeland Trophy in 2011 and went on to finish in the Top 3 13 times in 16 seasons with Collingwood. The Copeland trophy is awarded to Collingwood FC’s finest and fairest player of the year. Only Gary Dempsey (15) and Kevin Murray (14) have been able to surpass Scott in these accomplishments.

Pendlebury has won the Copeland Trophy five times out of his 13 top-three finishes, just one more than the previous captain Nathan Buckley.

The Collingwood captain has achieved much more as an AFL athlete. He has made an appearance in the Therabody All-Australian 40-man team 11 times, which is second to Lance Franklin’s 12 appearances.

Since 2014, Pendlebury has led Collingwood FC as best Captain. Three times during his career, in 2010, 2011, and 2019, the five-time Copeland Trophy winner won the Anzac Day Medal.

Since 2014, Pendlebury has served as the captain of the Collingwood team, which is a record for the club. Over 9000 disposals have been recorded by No. 10 during his AFL career. This feat has only been accomplished by Robert Harvey, Brent Harvey, and Kevin Bartlett.
