Japan Fights Back To Stun Germany With A Seismic Shock Of 2-1

Japan Fights Back To Stun Germany With A Seismic Shock: At the 2022 World Cup, Japan pulled off another stunning upset when they stunned Germany 2-1 in Qatar thanks to an incredible comeback.

After Ilkay Gundogan’s penalty, Germany appeared to be headed for an easy victory. Ritsu Doan, though, tied the score in the 75th minute, and Takuma Asano, nonetheless, scored the game-winning goal seven minutes from time.

Germany now faces a real threat of once again missing out on the knockout rounds because Spain is also in Group E.

Hansi Flick’s team lost their second straight World Cup opener as Japan overcame a deficit to overcome Germany 2-1. At the Khalifa International Stadium, goals from substitutes Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano in the second half gave Japan a remarkable victory.

However, Ilkay Gundogan scored the game’s first goal from the penalty spot after 30 minutes, and Germany had several opportunities in the second half to increase their advantage. They were abandoned to regret their errors.

Also, following Spain’s match against Germany, who are currently last in Group E, Japan will play Costa Rica.

As Japan defeated Germany 2-1 at the World Cup, Roy Keane, Karen Carney, and Ian Wright praised Japan’s tenacity and skill.
It was the second surprise victory for Saudi Arabia in two days over Argentina in Qatar.

Also, like Saudi Arabia, Japan overcame a goal deficit. Just after 30 minutes, Ilkay Gundogan scored from the penalty spot to give Hansi Flick’s team the lead. Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano added goals late in the second half to give their team three points in their opening Group E game.
