Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, of Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, was named as the offender.

The FBI SWAT Team and Pennsylvania State Police detained Kohberger on December 30 at his parents’ house in Monroe County, Pennsylvania.

Her parents, Karen Caufield Laramie and Ben Mogen, gave birth to Madison Mogen.

The unfortunate parents, Ben and Karen, had to deal with the heartbreaking news that their daughter had been killed in a random murdering spree.

The news that Madison Mogen was one of the four victims of the University of Idaho killings in 2022 devastated the Mogen marriage.

Ben, Madison’s father, said his daughter was “funny and brilliant.” He remembered how he first heard about the tragic occurrence.

According to Ben, he first received a call from Madison’s mother, Karen, when he was at the movie theater. At first, he promised Karen he would call her later.

But shortly after, he got a call from his mother asking him to check things out, wondering if the occurrence had anything to do with his daughter Maddie.

It was said that Ben, Madison’s father, and Karen, her mother, had already split up years ago.

Mr. Laramie, Karen Caufield Laramie’s second husband, is her husband.

She works at The Coeur d’Alene Golf & Spa Resort and is a general manager at Baymont Inn & Suites and La Quinta by Wyndham.

When Madison Laramie, her daughter, received her high school diploma in June 2019, Caufield Laramie shared photos on her Facebook page.

She had a close relationship with her daughter Maddie, as seen by the numerous photos of her on her social media wall.

 

Who Was Idaho Victim Madison Mogen?

Madison May Mogen was a senior at the University of Idaho majoring in marketing.

She additionally worked at the Mad Greek restaurant in Moscow, Idaho, and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.

On November 13, 2022, four students were murdered in a three-story rented house off-campus. Maddie was one of them.

Along with Maddie, Kaylee Goncalves (21), Xana Kernodle (20), and Ethan Chapin (20), all of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Post Falls, Idaho, died from stab wounds.

Kaylee Goncalves, with whom Madison grew up in Northern Idaho, was her best friend. Madison was from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, of Albrightsville, Pennsylvania, was named as the murderer.

On December 30, he was taken into custody at his parents’ house in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, by the FBI SWAT Team and Pennsylvania State Police.

Madison and Jake Chriger had been dating since April 2021. Both of them would prominently promote one another on social media.

A week after the untimely demise of his fiancée, Jake shared some photos of him and Maddie in a touching post on his Instagram.

Jake was referenced by Maddie’s father, Ben, in his remarks for the Reuters Pictures report on Moscow, Idaho.

Ben expressed his joy that his daughter had tasted a little bit of love and his wish that she might wed Jake someday.
