They paid $35 per hour to hire the gym at St. Joseph’s Catholic School for their wedding. In Nike Huaraches, they made their vows.
Tim sent a message to his wife on their 14th wedding anniversary with the description, “Happy Anniversary, Katie, my stunning wife! It’s been a special ride ever since she told me I was signing a lifetime contract 14 years ago! eager for the upcoming 14! Also, even in a dress and a suit, no one had a chance against us in a 2v2 match.”
Three years before their wedding, Katie gave birth to Azzi and gave her the name Jennifer Azzi. Her mother wants Azzi to study hard and have a personality like Olympic gold medalist and WNBA legend Jennifer.

Tim Fudd, the father of Azzi Fudd, was an athlete at American University. For two seasons, he served as the team’s captain in men’s basketball.
Tim Fudd began playing basketball while earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration at an American university. He was a player for the Eagles for five seasons (1991 to 1996) before beginning his coaching career there.
He scored 16.1 points per game on average as a senior in 1996. In the same season, he suffered a patella fracture.
His playing career in basketball was brief. He has competed professionally in Holland, Finland, Spain, and Venezuela, all of which are European nations. He later founded the Nova Select AAU Club with a fellow member in 2000–2002, and from 2003–2004, he coached the Middleburg Lions AAU for two years.

Azzi Fudd was born on November 11, 2002, and she was reared in Fairfax, Virginia, together with her three siblings. She has one older brother named Thomas and two younger brothers named Jon and Jose who were adopted by her parents in 2011. Her maternal grandma looked after Jon and Jose.
Tim and Katie wanted their kid to play basketball because they were both previous athletes.
Azzi used to avoid crowds and avoid sports when she was younger. She inherited her parents’ athleticism, but she had not yet developed a passion for the sport.

Her parents helped her develop her skills and acted as her AAU coach. They imparted plays, dances, and the joy of giving to her.
She immediately became a bigger and more skilled player due to her hard work and passion for games. When she was in sixth grade, she dominated the AUU competitions. She received a scholarship from the University of Maryland’s head coach as a result of her talent.
Azzi is now connected to the Uconn Huskies women’s basketball squad. She played for St. John College earlier.
She made the national squad and took home gold at the 2017 FIBA U-16 Women’s Americas Championship in Argentina, proving that her dedication paid off. The next year, in Belarus, her nation won the FIBA U-17 Women’s Basketball World Cup. The USA triumphed in Hungary in the FIBA U-19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in 2021.
