Who is Alana Springsteen? Alana Springsteen is an American country singer-songwriter. She was born on October 18, 2000 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Alana grew up in a Christian family and started singing at her grandfather’s church as a child. She received her first guitar at the age of 7 and began writing her own songs at age 9. Alana soon started traveling to Nashville to co-write with industry professionals.

Alana was a school girl too and would sing the national anthem in sporting events around the area. A person in the music industry discovered her during one of the performances and that is how she got her first publishing deal at the mere age of 14. This made Alana and her family relocate from Virginia Beach to Nashville where they could grow her music career further.

Who isBruce Springsteen? Bruce Springsteen is widely known as “The Boss,” an American rock singer, songwriter, as well as guitarist. He was born on September 23, 1949, in Long Branch, New Jersey. Douglas Frederick “Dutch” Springsteen and Adele Ann (née Zirilli) had Bruce in Freehold Borough, New Jersey.

Although his father struggled with finding employment; he did everything from being bus driver to working at mills—his mother managed to land a full-time gig at the insurance agency where she served as secretary for years. His childhood, especially his music and art, was greatly affected by the difficult relationship he had with his dad.

Alana Springsteen and Bruce Springsteen are not related, despite sharing the same last name. Bruce is not the father of Alana nor is he a brother or uncle to her. They do not share any form of family bond.

The Springsteen surname is common with many families using it as their surname in the U.S.

The Springsteen surname originates in Groningen, a province in the Netherlands, and is topographic, translating to “jump stone” and meaning a stepping stone used on unpaved streets or between two houses. Bruce Springsteen’s paternal ancestors were among the early Dutch families who settled in colonial-era America in the 17th century.

Alana Springsteen has addressed this question of her relation to Bruce Springsteen early in her career. In an interview she stated, “I never wanted it to feel like I’m just taking advantage of that name and using that as, like, clickbait or anything. That’s the opposite of what I’m trying to do.” Alana considered using a stage name but ultimately decided against it because it wouldn’t feel like her.

While Bruce Springsteen doesn’t have a famous daughter or granddaughter in music, his daughter Jessica Springsteen is an award-winning equestrian who competed for the United States Equestrian Team in international competitions, winning a silver medal in team jumping at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
