An X user has sparked reactions online after sharing advice his mentor gave him before he left Nigeria about relationships and relocating abroad.
According to him, his mentor warned that leaving Nigeria without a defined relationship could make it harder to find someone who truly loves him without factoring location into the equation.
The user admitted he initially brushed off the advice but said he has since experienced firsthand what his mentor meant.
Reacting to the post, another X user argued that while the mentor was not entirely wrong, relocation often exposes weak connections, saying distance reveals whether love was genuine or simply built on comfort, access and proximity.
