The Lancaster Standoff Suspect Fernando Dead who was the child’s father was killed, and the infant was safe after a protracted barricade situation at a California mobile home park ended early 20 hours after it started on Tuesday night.

According to KCBS, the man was shot by Los Angeles County deputies at around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday following an incident that started when state troopers saw him traveling 132 mph shortly before midnight on Tuesday. stated KTTV. After being arrested, he was later declared deceased.

According to KABC, the 17-month-old infant was sent to a local hospital for a checkup and was declared “OK.”

As previously reported by CrimeOnline, the suspect led police on a high-speed pursuit that lasted more than an hour and included various freeways and surface streets near Palmdale and Lancaster. At times, the suspect’s speed reached 130 mph. He once threatened to shoot police if they didn’t end the pursuit while on the phone to 911, claiming there was a child in the car with him.

He did fire at following authorities after that call, just before one in the morning, according to the California Highway Patrol, but nobody was harmed.

KTTV said that deputies shot the man after he again put his gun to the child’s head, however, specifics were withheld.
