According to a Mexican prosecutor and verified by ABC News, an arrest warrant has apparently been issued in the death of Charlotte resident Shanquella Robinson who was killed while on vacation in Mexico.

The doctor recommended that Robinson be taken to a hospital, but Robinson’s friends insisted that she be treated on the estate.

The report extract claims that Dr. Gutiérrez attempted an IV but failed. The medicine that was in the IV is unknown.

Robinson’s death certificate claimed that she passed away within 15 minutes of being hurt, which is in conflict with the report.

The patient’s friend, Wenter Donovan, called 911 to seek an ambulance, the Observer’s Spanish-to-English translation of the report states. It was about 4:20 in the afternoon.

Instead, according to a police report excerpt, Robinson and other people in the House were seen by a doctor from a local hospital for almost three hours before she was declared dead.

 

Shanquella Robinson Case Update

In a case that has generated widespread interest, new information is becoming available.

According to a police inquiry, Shanquella Robinson was conscious when medical assistance arrived at the home where she and a group of friends were vacationing in Cabo, Mexico, last month.

According to information previously received from 25-year-old Robinson’s death certificate, which said that she passed away within 15 minutes of being hurt, the report, which was obtained by a Charlotte newspaper, was different.

Instead, according to a Police report extract, a doctor from a local hospital was with Robinson and other people in the House for about three hours before she was declared dead.

Sallamondra Robinson, Shanquella’s mother, told news organizations that each travel companion had a different story to tell and that they initially informed her that her daughter had alcohol poisoning.

According to postmortem results, the official cause of death was “severe spinal cord injury and atlas luxation.”

The State Attorney General’s Office of Baja California Sur announced Thursday that they are looking into Robinson’s death as a possible femicide, according to ABC News.

Feminicide is defined as “the gender-based murder of a lady or girl by a guy” by Merriam-Webster.

The FBI acknowledged in a statement to The Charlotte Observer and other publications on Friday that it had opened an investigation into Robinson’s death in light of conflicting accounts.

Quilla Long, Robinson’s sister, said in a gofundme statement that the family will keep looking into what happened and needs money for legal expenses.
