For the murder of DC teen Brian Ward, the main suspect, Brandon Nguyen, was taken into custody. Nearly two years after Ward’s death, he was taken into custody.

In September 2020, Ward was last seen getting into a car, according to accounts from the DC Police. He was last observed close to his Petworth residence.

Unfortunately, it took at least a year and a half for the teen to disappear until the concerned authorities discovered his remains in December 2021. The body of 17-year-old Ward was discovered abandoned in a Laurel, Maryland, neighborhood.

Nguyen, the alleged killer of Brian Ward, was taken into custody on Monday, November 2022. As was already mentioned, Nguyen used a weapon to kill a DC teenager. Similarly, Ward passed away at the age of seventeen.

Ward was reportedly slain on September 29, 2020, during an aggressive encounter on Allison Street, NW, according to the report from the relevant authority.

Security personnel didn’t discover any shooting victims at the time, though. Police reported:

We didn’t find any body of the victim at the time of the shooting.

Likewise, the postmortem report states that Ward was shot numerous times and that severe blood loss was the cause of death.

Ward’s family regrettably hosted his 18th birthday in 2021 despite his absence. We Miss You T-shirts were worn by his relatives.

Yes, Ward is still listed as missing because his body was not found in time for his parents’ birthday celebration.

Up until they discovered his corpse, Ward’s family still held out hope that he would get home safely. Sadly, his remains weren’t discovered until December 2021.

 

Brandon Nguyen Charged With Second-Degree Murder

A 17-year-old called Brian Ward was killed in the second degree, and the primary suspect Brandon Nguyen was accused of the crime. Soon after his arrest in November 2022, he was charged.

Nearly two years after Ward’s slaying, the authorities finally captured Nguyen.

Additionally, the Sentencing Reform Emergency Amendment Act 2000’s second-degree murder accusation was brought against the main suspect.

He might also spend a minimum of 20 years in prison if proven guilty. The concerned authorities deemed Nguyen’s deed to be second-degree murder.

In a shooting on Allison Street, NW, Ward was killed. Ward was shot multiple times, so it’s possible that his murder was never intended.
