Bayern Munich secured a record-extending 35th Bundesliga title after a commanding 4-2 victory over VfB Stuttgart, with Harry Kane continuing his prolific form by scoring his 32nd goal of the season.
Bayern needed just a point to seal the title, but delivered a dominant performance at home. Despite falling behind early to a goal from Chris Führich, the hosts responded emphatically, scoring three times in quick succession to take control of the match before halftime.
Raphaël Guerreiro equalised after being set up by Jamal Musiala, before Nicolas Jackson and Alphonso Davies added further goals, both assisted by Luis DÃaz.
Kane extended the lead early in the second half, effectively putting the result beyond doubt and ensuring Bayern’s latest league crown. Stuttgart managed a late consolation through Chema Andrés, but the outcome was never in question.
The result was enough to mathematically confirm Bayern as champions, especially after Borussia Dortmund suffered a 2-1 defeat to TSG Hoffenheim, leaving the title race effectively decided with four games remaining.
Under manager Vincent Kompany, Bayern have once again demonstrated their dominance in German football, winning 13 of the last 14 league titles. Their tally of 35 Bundesliga titles remains unmatched, with no other club reaching double digits.
The Bavarian side’s attacking form has been historic this season, scoring 109 goals so far, the highest in Bundesliga history, while also boasting a goal difference of 80. If maintained, it would mark an unprecedented statistical achievement in the league.
Individually, Kane continues to chase records, with his 32 league goals keeping him in contention to challenge Robert Lewandowski’s single-season Bundesliga record of 41 goals. Meanwhile, Michael Olise has registered 18 assists, closing in on the all-time record set by Thomas Müller.
Elsewhere, SC Freiburg boosted their European hopes with a 2-1 win over 1. FC Heidenheim, with Maximilian Eggestein scoring a late winner.
