Tennessee man ‘James Walker Arrested For Burning Family Christmas Tree and Child gift’ Multiple charges have been brought against a 25-year-old Tennessee man who is accused of setting fire to a woman’s Christmas tree and her child’s presents.
James Walker and the victim’s brother, with whom he was acquainted, got into a fight earlier in the day, according to the Dyersburg Police Department.
Later that night, according to investigators, a neighbor spotted Walker entering and exiting the house and carrying stuff to his car. Then, according to the accusation, he ignited both the child’s presents and the Christmas tree for the family on fire.
According to the police, he covered a smoke detector and opened a window to let the fire out. At the time, nobody was at home.
Soon after midnight on Sunday, according to investigators, they were summoned to the scene of a disturbance. After a brief foot pursuit, Walker was captured nearby.
Charges against him include simple possession, failure to appear, aggravated arson, aggravated burglary, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. Additionally, Pemiscot County, Missouri issued many warrants for his arrest, according to the police.
Also, the police department’s Community Changer program replaced all the damaged presents, adding some extra as well.
