The incident occurred early Tuesday morning when GloRilla was pulled over for running a red light along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Suwanee Walk Avenue. The arresting officer noticed the smell of marijuana and alcohol coming from inside the vehicle and detected the odor of alcohol on Woods’ breath.

Despite admitting to consuming an alcoholic beverage that evening at a venue in Atlanta, she refused to specify the type of drink or its quantity. GloRilla agreed to a field sobriety test but failed, and she declined a breath test. The police report also mentioned the presence of a man inside the vehicle, identified as her brother, and the discovery of marijuana and an open alcoholic bottle during the search of the car.

GloRilla was booked into jail shortly after 6 a.m. and released on bond a few hours later. The police report indicated that she displayed several signs of impairment during field sobriety tests and refused a portable breath test. The incident was further highlighted by a photo of herself with a Taylor Port bottle on top of her head, which she shared on social media but later deleted. The post sparked mixed reactions, with some users expressing relief that she wasn’t injured, while others criticized her for trivializing drink-driving.

In response to the backlash, GloRilla tweeted, “We live in a generation fulla fucking ass n-ggas [crying face emojis] [thumb down emojis] Ima keep my lil shit to myself yall got it,” indicating her frustration with the public’s reaction to her situation.

The arrest comes shortly after the release of her latest mixtape, “Ehhthang Ehhthang,” which features artists like Moneybagg Yo, Finesse2Tymes, Real Boston Richey, Kevo Muney, and Megan Thee Stallion. The project debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 and No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the hit “Wanna Be”.
