Family members of a missing Damond Lazenby are anxious for answers after he went missing “under troubling circumstances,” according to Fox 2.
Damond Lazenby, 19, was last seen around 4 a.m. Sunday in the Port Chicago area; some of his clothes were discovered outside of his running automobile, which had been abandoned with the keys inside. Samanta Baraja, a family friend, informed the source that his phone was last pinged about 6 a.m. on January 1 near the Chevron gas station on Willow Pass in Concord.
According to reports, police are investigating but have found no evidence of wrongdoing thus far.
“We have no evidence or information that the missing person was with anyone else,” said Lt. Sean Donnelly, according to Fox 2.
Friends and family feel he is still in danger. According to Baraja, there were reports of a man matching the teen’s description jogging on the expressway around the time Lazenby vanished. According to Baranja, he appeared distressed and possibly inebriated.
Lazenby is characterized as a 6-foot-3-inch tall Black man weighing roughly 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing Crocs shoes, a “Rugrats” sweater, and grey jogging pants with black stripes. He has brown eyes and black hair. Baraka went on to say that the last time he was spotted, he could have had his top off.
Anyone with knowledge of Lazenby’s whereabouts is asked by the police.
