Victor Osimhen’s arrival on Tuesday brought the number of players in camp to 23, with Maduka Okoye being the only player yet to arrive Rabat.
However, training was suspended due to the ongoing standoff between the players and the NFF.
There is a dispute over unpaid match bonuses and allowances estimated at about six million dollars; the players are reportedly owed outstanding payments dating back to 2019.
Brila.net sources revealed that funds for players’ bonuses and allowances were released by the Federal Government but wasn’t given to the players.
Further reports indicate that funds collected by the NFF over the past decade estimated at more than fifty million dollars, which is over seventy billion naira remain unaccounted for.

Team officials have avoided direct comment on the matter, describing it as an issue strictly between the players and the NFF.

It was gathered that the federation presented an offer to the squad, which was rejected, with the players submitting a counterproposal.
The situation has further put the NFF in the spotlight over its handling of player welfare and lack of financial transparency.
With Tuesday’s session canceled, the Super Eagles have managed only one full training session since the camp opened.
They are expected to resume training on Wednesday if the matter is resolved.
Meanwhile, other nations preparing for the CAF World Cup playoffs have continued their build-up without disruption including the DR Congo.
The Fédération Congolaise de Football Association reportedly promised each player a one million dollar bonus ahead of their playoff fixture, according to ActuFoot.
Nigeria will face Gabon on Thursday, in one of the CAF World Cup playoff semi-finals.
A victory would see Nigeria advance to meet either Cameroon or DR Congo in the final, with the winner moving on to the FIFA Intercontinental Playoffs for a place at next year’s World Cup.
