The knockout phase of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is set to ignite on Tuesday, October 28, with Nigeria’s Flamingos facing a tough test against Italy in one of the standout Round of 16 fixtures at the Stade Olympique de Rabat.
The fixture is a key step in Nigeria’s quest for a maiden world title after an impressive group-stage campaign that concluded with a dominant 4–0 victory over Samoa on Saturday in Rabat.
Led by head coach Bankole Olowookere, the Flamingos’ win over Samoa ensured safe passage to the last 16, and they will now look to maintain that momentum against an organized Italian side.
Both teams will be targeting a place in the quarter-finals set to begin on Saturday, November 1, 2025 and Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
As the competition enters its decisive phase, the target of the Flamingos now simple to four wins separate the remaining 16 teams from lifting the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup trophy.

U17 WWC Knockout Fixtures
The host nation, Morocco, will also be in action on Tuesday night, locking horns with South Korea at the Mohammed VI Football Academy Pitch 2 in Sale, behind the Atlas Lionesses as they aim to advance to the last eight on home soil.
Earlier in the day, two exciting fixtures will get proceedings underway in Sale, with Brazil facing China PR, and the United States taking on the Netherlands, both kicking off at 4:30 p.m.
Action continues on Wednesday, October 29, with Mexico meeting Paraguay at 4:30 p.m. at the Mohammed VI Football Academy Pitch 3.
Defending champions, Spain will square off with France in an all-European showdown at the same time and venue.
Later that evening, Canada will battle Zambia, and tournament favorites, Japan will test their strength against Colombia to wrap up the Round of 16 fixtures.
