Eric Chelle has announced his squad for Nigeria’s decisive World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho on October 10 and Benin Republic on October 14.
Notably, some players have been left out of the Super Eagles World Cup qualifiers list. The likes of Christantus Uche, Paul Onuachu and Igoh Ogbu were snubbed by Chelle.

The Super Eagles are currently facing an injury crisis, with Ola Aina, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Raphael Onyedika all ruled out.

Match fitness is also a concern in the squad for instance, Semi Ajayi, who has struggled for minutes this season, was included, while Chidozie Awaziem, who has featured consistently for Nantes was dropped.
Nigeria cannot afford to drop points in their final two fixtures.
The Super Eagles sit third in Group C with 11 points, level with Rwanda but ahead on a superior goal difference.
Benin Republic currently lead the group with 14 points, tied with South Africa but placed first on goal difference.
