Super Eagles defender, Bruno Onyemaechi has opened up about life at Olympiacos since joining the Greek giants in January.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Brila.net, the 26-year-old reflected on what it meant to lift two trophies in his debut season.
“It’s been great. For me, it’s one of my biggest achievements going to that type of historic club and winning two trophies with them,” Onyemaechi said. “I was really happy, and I’m looking forward to more.”
Onyemaechi was part of the Olympiacos squad that won both the Greek Super League and the Greek Cup last season, adding silverware to his resume and marking his first major titles in Europe.

The former Boavista defender also compared the environment at Olympiacos to that of his previous club, noting that the pressure at the Greek side is bigger.

“I will say it’s quite different,” he explained. “But the most important thing is that you’re at a bigger club the more pressure you have. You need to win the league. So I will say the pressure here is higher than that of Portugal.”
Looking ahead to the new season, Onyemaechi made it clear that his focus is on getting game time to maintain his place in the Nigerian national team.
“The most important thing for me is to get more game time because if you don’t play much, it’s very difficult to be in the national team,” he said. “And you always want to represent your country so that’s my focus.”
Since joining Olympiacos in January, Onyemaechi has made 11 appearances, including two matches in the UEFA Europa League his first taste of European football.
