Jake Paul, a 27-year-old social media sensation, entered the professional boxing scene in 2020 and currently holds a record of 9 wins and 1 loss. He has defeated notable opponents such as Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley (twice), Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz, with his sole defeat coming against Tommy Fury, the half-brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
In a statement, Mike Tyson expressed gratitude for the medical team that treated him and the parties involved for their diligent efforts in rescheduling the event. He remains confident in the outcome, asserting that Jake Paul will be knocked out, regardless of the rescheduled date. Paul, in response, posted on social media, “New date, same place, same fate.”
The co-main event will feature a rematch between Ireland’s Katie Taylor, the undisputed women’s light-welterweight world champion, and Puerto Rico’s Amanda Serrano. Their first encounter, held at New York’s Madison Square Garden in April 2022, was an all-time lightweight classic, with Taylor emerging victorious by a narrow margin.
Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, emphasized the importance of equal training time for both Paul and Tyson, as well as maintaining the venue at AT&T Stadium amidst the Cowboys season.
The fight, initially scheduled for a Saturday, will now take place on a Friday as the Cowboys prepare to host the Houston Texans for Monday Night Football on November 18.
Tickets officially went on sale on May 16, and previously purchased tickets will be honored. Those unable to attend the rescheduled date are eligible for a refund at their original point of purchase until July 8.
