Newsypeople – Manchester United has been dealt a significant blow with injuries to both Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund, which will keep them off the field for an extended period.

Yoro, who recently joined the club for £52 million, is facing a lengthy recovery after breaking a metatarsal.

This injury, sustained during a pre-season friendly against Arsenal, will see him out of action for around three months. Unfortunately, he had to exit the game early, and subsequent reports revealed him at the training ground, hobbling on crutches and wearing a protective boot, which only added to concerns about the extent of his injury.

Yoro’s absence is a major setback, especially with critical Premier League clashes against Liverpool, Tottenham, and Aston Villa on the horizon, not to mention the early rounds of the Europa League and Carabao Cup.

Rasmus Hojlund, another recent addition to the squad with a hefty £64 million price tag, is also on the sidelines. A hamstring injury, suffered in the same match against Arsenal, will keep him out for about six weeks.

This injury couldn’t have come at a worse time, as it rules him out of the highly anticipated match against Liverpool on September 1. This is a particularly tough break for Hojlund, who had just started to show his value by netting the opening goal in a match against Real Betis.

For manager Erik ten Hag, these injuries are a real headache. Already working with a relatively thin squad, the loss of Yoro and Hojlund, who together represent £116 million worth of talent, could force the club to reconsider its strategy and perhaps even dip back into the transfer market to shore up the team as they brace for a demanding season ahead.
