‘Lucas Hernandez Eliminated From World Cup Due To Severe Knee Injury’ The rupture of Lucas Hernandez’s anterior cruciate ligament in France’s 4-1 Group D victory over Australia has eliminated him from the 2022 World Cup.
Just before the Socceroos took the lead through Craig Goodwin, Hernandez collapsed, clutching his right knee, which he had planted unopposed. Olivier Giroud, Kylian Mbappe, and Adrien Rabiot all scored for France to rally (2).
Lucas Hernandez, a defender for France, ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during his team’s 4-1 Group D victory over Australia and is therefore out of the 2022 World Cup.
Just before Craig Goodwin gave the Socceroos the lead in the first half, Hernandez fell to the ground holding his right knee and had to be carried off the field.
Additionally, the prognosis was grave following an MRI scan at the Aspetar facility in Doha, which eliminates him from the remaining competitors.
“We’re losing a crucial component.”
Being a warrior, Lucas will do everything in his power to get back to the top of the game. He’ll have courage, I can guarantee that because I know him well.

Adrien Rabiot, Kylian Mbappe, and a brace from Olivier Giroud helped France come back from being down to win easily.
However, Mbappe was the player who caught everyone’s attention the entire time. The Paris Saint-Germain forward tormented his opponents and supported his claims of being, arguably, the best player in the world right now.
