Hamann Accuses Rudiger Of Belittling Japan With Running Style: Germany’s opening Group E match on Wednesday ended in an unexpected 2-1 loss to Japan. When Antonio Rudiger and Takuma Asano sprinted after the ball in the 67th minute, they appeared to be sprinting very differently.
Rudiger infuriated Didier Hamann because, in his opinion, he was insulting the opposition. “There is just one team laughing now,” Hamann remarked. “He was having a chuckle.”
Didier Hamann, a former Germany midfielder, has criticized Antonio Rudiger for “belittling” Takuma Asano following Germany’s shocking defeat to Japan in their opening World Cup game on Wednesday.
In the 64th minute, Rudiger changed his running technique as he raced to the ball alongside Asano. When the ball left the field of play, the Real Madrid defender also appeared to be smiling.
With Spain, who defeated Costa Rica 7-0 later in the day, playing next on Sunday, Germany now runs the possibility of not making it out of the group. Asano scored Japan’s winning goal in the 83rd minute.

Hamann Accuses Rudiger Of Belittling Japan With Running Style
Rudiger is being accused of making fun of Asano by Hamann, who claims that “there is just one team laughing now.”
Hamann declared: “Rudiger extends his legs upward. You don’t dismiss the opposition [in that way] because it will eventually respond ” It seemed to me to be quite unprofessional. It seemed out of sequence to me. Arrogant. He was laughing, and now there is only one team laughing “Respecting the opponents and your opponent is a key component of the game’s spirit. He didn’t do it, too. I have neither an explanation for it nor an excuse.”
Hamann criticized the English-language Twitter account for the German national team for seemingly finding Rudiger’s jogging amusing.
Shameful that you even posted this, he penned. It has never been in the spirit of the game to disparage the enemy. Only one of the two players is giggling at the moment, and it’s not Rudiger. Both unprofessional and haughty

Shameful that you even post this. Belittling the opposition has never been in the spirit of the game. There’s only one out the 2 players laughing tonight and it ain’t Rüdiger. Unprofessional and arrogant https://t.co/VFCCEbBA1v

In September, Rudiger gave an explanation for his running technique, claiming it made him faster.
He said to Sport1 “I do it because I believe it makes me faster. I enjoy laughing with people if they find it amusing.”
