Georgia Bulldog Accident: Devin Willock And Chandler Lacroix Died In Car Crash

The football players were killed in a terrible single-vehicle car accident early on Sunday, according to police, who are now investigating the incident.

Just hours after the University of Georgia Bulldogs’ victory celebration with fans, Devin Willock and staff member Chandler LeCroy were photographed.

Just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, LeCroy, 24, was operating the vehicle with Willock, 20, and two other passengers when it went off the road and collided with two power poles.

Investigators claim that LeCroy died after being taken to the hospital, whereas Willock passed dead there and then.

LeCroy worked for UGA as a recruitment analyst for football, according to her LinkedIn page. In the crash, there were two other football team passengers who were hurt.

Investigators determined that Georgia offensive lineman Warren McClendon, 21, had minor injuries while Victoria Bowles, 26, sustained critical wounds.

McClendon started at right tackle for Georgia this season, and earlier on Saturday, he declared for the NFL Draft.

He received sutures for his forehead, but his father, Warren McClendon Sr., told the Athens Banner-Herald that he is “doing good.”

Sanford Stadium and the surrounding streets were jam-packed with joyful spectators a few hours after the Bulldogs’ second consecutive national championship triumph.

By morning, however, they had joined the others in mourning the untimely passings of Willock and LeCroy.

Daniel Dewitt, a bystander at the victory parade on Saturday, told CNN that Willock appeared “upbeat and joyful” as the team marched through a sea of red-and-black-clad cheerleaders.

According to images of the crash scene received by nearby neighbours, the car’s frame was slammed against an apartment building and a wooden power pole was split in half.

Authorities say they are still looking into the crash. According to investigations, anyone with information is requested to get in touch with the police.
