Miniyothabo Baloyi Bio

Constantino Chiwenga, the vice president of Zimbabwe, recently wed Miniyothabo Baloyi, an army colonel. She is an Army Colonel and a linguist by trade. She was born and raised in Nkayi, Bulawayo, Matebeleland North, Zimbabwe.

Baloyi studied in Zimbabwe for her primary and secondary education. In 2005, she enrolled in the PLA University of Foreign Languages China to study Mandarin Chinese.

The institution awarded Chiwenga’s wife a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese. In 2019, she graduated with a Master’s and a Doctorate in Business Administration, Business Leadership, and Management from Midlands University.

Since she was in her 20s, she has served in the Zimbabwe National Army. Baloyi was a regular soldier in the national armed forces who was given a promotion to colonel. Her educational background and her relationships with the former army commander and current vice president of Zimbabwe made the upgrade possible.

Baloyi, a soldier in the national army, is a key language interpreter for Chinese and Zinanwean government officials most of the time, which he does for the government of Zimbabwe. She is an excellent choice for the government’s translation needs because she is fluent in English, Chinese Mandarin, French, Zulu, Shona, and Ndebele.

The main distinction of Miniyothabo Baloyi is that she is currently wed to politician Constantine Chiwenga of Zimbabwe. The president announced in June that the Vice President had wed his longtime partner. The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony with the help of their loved ones and close friends.

The colonel of the Zimbabwe National Army, Baloyi, runs an upscale store in Harare. Baloyi is currently seconds away from being Zimbabwe’s first lady.

She grew up in Sabhabha in Filabusi and attended Ekusileni Mission and JZ Moyo High School for her secondary education. She is the daughter of a school’s headmaster. Despite coming from a challenging background, Baloyi was among the top ten pupils in the class.

The colonel experienced several difficulties in school because he had a stepmother as a child. It ultimately had an impact on her upbringing, but she persisted, and her academic success enabled her to overcome adversity and create a life for herself. Her close friends describe her as reticent and quiet. She played netball at school and actively participated in singing at the scripture union.

How Old Is Miniyothabo Baloyi Age?

Miniyothabo Baloyi is 46 years old right now.

She was romantically linked with Constantine Chiwenga when they were still legally wed to his second wife, former model Marry Mubaiwa. Three of the Vice President’s children are raised by her. He was able to marry his longtime love after their divorce was approved by the Harare High Court in February.

The politician from Zimbabwe got into a heated argument with Marry, his ex-wife. While the politician was still being treated in a South African hospital, the latter was charged with attempting to counterfeit a marriage license. The marriage was recently dissolved by a Zimbabwean court after his ex-wife was found guilty of breaking the Marriage Act.

Chiwenga was airlifted to China in 2019 for medical care, and Baloyi was one of the select few persons who were allowed to visit him. His then-wife, who later changed after learning of an alleged plot to have him killed in a South African hospital, was then exiled. In 2011, after divorcing his first wife Jocelyn Jacobsen, he usually wedded Mubaiwa.

On December 14, 2019, Chiwenga arrested his second wife after returning from China. In the hospital in July of that year, he accused her of attempting to murder someone. Along with assaulting their former childminder, Mubaiwa was also accused of fraud and money laundering.

Is Chiwenga Wife On Instagram?

Instagram and other social media are not used by Miniyothabo.

The colonel of the Zimbabwe National Army might not have a social media profile or she may have set her social accounts to private. She can follow her devoted husband Chiwenga on Twitter at @VPChiwenga, though. With only 21 tweets after joining the service in September 2017, he has 4,886 followers.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa named Constantine and later state security minister Kembo Mohadi as the vice presidents of the ruling ZANU-PF party, according to the presidential press secretary’s statement on December 23. On December 27, both officials were officially recognized as the state Vice Presidents.

The following day, Chiwenga and Mohadi were present for their swearing-in ceremony. On December 28, Modai was chosen to serve as Zimbabwe’s second vice president, and Constantine assumed that position. He was appointed Minister of Defence and War Veterans Affairs the next day.

He was named Minister of Health and Child Care in August. Obadiah, who had been fired a month earlier for corruption in the awarding of contracts for coronavirus testing, was replaced by Chiwenga. A member of parliament named Tenda Biti said the appointment was against the constitution since it forbade the Vice President from holding any other public post.
