Even though the Panthers running back was limited in practice on Thursday due to an ankle problem, he will play this week against New Orleans.

McCaffrey’s season has gotten off to a slow start so far, with just 135 rushing yards on 25 carries and one touchdown. The two-time All-Pro led the league in all-purpose yards in 2019 (2,392 on 403 touches).

Given that McCaffrey suffered from injuries in the 2020 and ’21 seasons, the team has decided to give him Wednesdays off as a rest day for the season. Despite this, McCaffrey minimized the ankle problem yesterday.
