The wedding was an intimate affair where they only had their immediate loved ones and close friends present. However, just before this significant occasion came up for Chanelle there was a difficult issue she needed to handle. She has a age of 36 years and she also is having two children, this was making things more difficult for her as she prepared for this unique moment in life.
In an exclusive conversation with OK! magazine, Chanelle Hayes revealed that she was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) three years ago. Unfortunately, she experienced another episode only a few months prior to her wedding. This unforeseen health issue has caused her to lose a lot of weight fast. Now, her dress requires numerous alterations.
Chanelle, who previously lost almost eight stone after having gastric sleeve surgery in August 2020 and went down from a dress size 18 to 10, was nervous about fitting into her wedding dress. The gown she chose for herself is off-the-shoulder white with glitter and pearl decoration but it came ready only on the day before the wedding due to sudden weight reduction.
Despite the challenges, Chanelle felt great on her wedding day. She did mention that she “didn’t expect to be that thin.” The location for their marriage was Northorpe Barn in Mirfield. It was adorned with flowers and the walls did not have plaster, showing the bricks. It was a very nice place for their special day as a couple.
2020 was the year when Chanelle and Dan, who met for the very first time, decided to get married. They had a wedding that included 110 of their closest friends and family members. Even though they were private about their relationship because Dan does not want to become famous, it was an occasion filled with love and family – just what both people desired.
Following the completion of the wedding, Chanelle encountered a severe illness known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and ME crash. She was compelled to rest in bed due to experiencing intense pain. On her social media account, she conveyed her difficult situation by expressing, “Pain relief, hot water bottle, fluids and plenty sleep for this wife.”
In spite of the troubles, Chanelle and Dan’s wedding day was a very happy time when their families came together. The love she has for him is evident in what she expresses,
“He is just my person and he knows I’d do anything for him.” I’d never have eyes for anyone else.”
