Actress Mary Remmy Njoku has sparked conversation online after sharing her thoughts on the relationship between prayer and practical action
In a post on Instagram, the actress stressed that physical problems require physical solutions, noting that while prayer can provide guidance, strength and wisdom, issues such as poor roads, insecurity, healthcare challenges and economic hardship must also be addressed through deliberate action, planning, accountability and hard work.
She pointed out that food does not appear on a plate through prayer alone, explaining that someone still has to plant, harvest, transport or prepare it.

“You cannot bind and cast away bad roads. You cannot rebuke a failing healthcare system into working. You cannot pray away the bandits who are terrorizing our lives,” she wrote.
She added that faith and action are not opposites, insisting that both must work together.
