Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was filmed grabbing two black snakes bare-handed during a visit to the home of television doctor Mehmet Oz, in a video he later shared on social media.
In the footage, Kennedy is seen approaching the snakes and picking them up with both hands as they appeared to be in close contact, with someone off-camera remarking that the animals were “having s3x.” Kennedy can be seen laughing while handling the reptiles, holding one in each hand by their tails, despite the snakes appearing agitated and attempting to bite him.
The incident, which drew attention online, shows the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services interacting closely with the animals in what appeared to be a casual, unsupervised setting. Actor Cheryl Hines, who was present during the incident, can be heard urging him to put the snakes down as they continued to react defensively.
The video quickly circulated on social media, prompting mixed reactions over both the handling of the snakes and the circumstances in which the footage was recorded.
