British rock band Squeeze cancelled its scheduled concert in Virginia after a worker was killed in a tragic incident at the venue before the show.
The music band was due to perform at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia, on Thursday night, September 3, when the incident occurred in the parking lot.
According to reports, the worker was crushed to death by a tour bus after a supporting apparatus failed, causing the vehicle to collapse on him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Squeeze later announced the cancellation of the concert, saying the band was “deeply saddened and shocked” by the incident.
“After discussions with the venue and the relevant authorities, the decision was made to cancel this evening’s performance,” the band said.
Squeeze added that it would work with the promoter and venue to discuss rescheduling the show and would provide ticketholders with further information.
