According to Joseph Lopinto, the sheriff for Jefferson Parish, Yolanda Dillion, 54, picked up 29-year-old Brandon Jacobs in New Orleans on Thursday and took him to a Travelodge in Harvey at 3 p.m., according to WVUE.
Lopinto claimed that Jacobs stabbed the driver there.
The sheriff stated, “He was in the rear seat.” “stabbed her in the back. Exited the car and very casually strolled away,” a witness said after filming the horrific sight and uploading it to Facebook. The video was later taken down.

According to Lopinto, Dillion was rushed to a hospital but passed away as a result of her injuries. Dillion had also worked as a budget analyst for the New Orleans Police Department for 10 years.
A few hours after the stabbing, Jacobs was arrested and made a confession. Lopinto told reporters, “His confession basically stated that he determined he was going to kill someone yesterday morning and it was going to be his day.

Jacobs had earlier in the day requested transport to New Orleans, but when he discovered he needed a ride back to his hotel in Harvey, he decided against killing the driver, according to Lopinto. When he did, Dillion approved his request for a second ride using the Uber app.
“We deliberately asked him, ‘How did you choose her?'” said Lopinto. “I didn’t pick her, Uber picked her,” he said in response. She was the haphazard individual who picked him up that day.
Dillion was a cherished employee, according to Shaun Ferguson, the superintendent of the New Orleans Police Department.
Ferguson remarked, “Our squad is taking it fairly hard. Her absence will be greatly felt. She was quite modest and shy. Because she meant a lot to this department and it devastated our employees, I would describe her as a quiet giant.
Deputies in Jefferson Parish are still looking. A second-degree murder charge has been brought against Jacobs.
