Veteran journalist, Dele Momodu, says have gone so bad with the economy thatbhe finds it hard to open messages on his phone because day in day out, he receives messages from people asking for financial assistance.
According to him, the economy has become so bad that many people have resorted to begging.
Momodu stated this during an interview with journalist Rufai Oseni on Nevon Media, posted via Instagram on Wednesday,July 7.
He said the hardship in the country had gotten to a point where he now dreads checking messages on his phone because of the volume of people reaching out to him for financial help.
“These days, even for me to open some messages on my phone, I’m scared, because everyone is begging. The suffering of the people,” he said
“I’m old enough to know and understand the challenges we’ve encountered in Nigeria before now. Nothing can equal this.”
He faulted the Federal Government’s handling of insecurity and criticised the administration for failing to show any remorse for the state of the nation.
