Surgeons Performs Surgery on baby In Kyiv Blackout: When Russian missiles struck the Ukrainian capital on November 23, Kyiv Heart Institute lost the majority of its electricity.
Despite the lack of electricity, a team of doctors and nurses continued doing their work, using electrical generators and the dim light of handheld LED torches to operate on a baby’s heart.

The hospital successfully conducted 10 open-heart procedures on the attack day.
Professor Borys Todurov, who oversaw the crews as they worked in the dark, spoke with the Media.
