The Super Falcons of Nigeria have returned home to a hero’s welcome in Abuja, following their dramatic 3‑2 victory over Morocco in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final.
The Falcons landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around midday on Monday, July 28, met by jubilant government officials and excited fans.
The squad will embark on a celebratory trophy parade in an open-roof bus through Airport Road, Berger Junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market, giving thousands the rare chance to view the WAFCON trophy up close.
The tour will be concluded at the Presidential Villa, where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will formally receive the team in a ceremony honoring their achievements.
