Singer Peter Okoye has vowed to take legal action against an X-user who posted defamatory comments about his late mother, Mrs Josephine Okoye.
The social media user published a post accusing the singer’s late mother of ethnic bigotry. The user alleged that Mrs Okoye, who was Igbo, opposed her son’s marriage to his wife, Lola Omotayo, due to her Yoruba heritage. Furthermore, the individual claimed that this alleged malice ultimately led to her passing.
Late Mrs Okoye passed away in July 2012.
Reacting via his X handle this evening, Peter said his legal team has been alerted to initiate legal action against the X user.
