A 12-year-old girl who was r@ped by a masked man in Lagos State identified the attacker as her neighbour.
The minor’s lawyer, Toyin Ndidi Taiwo, who shared the story in a Facebook post on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 said the victim recognised the suspect by the distinctive scar on his hand.
Ms Taiwo also commended the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command for their diligent investigation.
“Was in court today to represent my 12 years old client who was r@ped by a neighbor who deliberately wore nose mask to disguise his face. Unknown to him , my client recognised a scar on his hand and that helped a lot in identifying him as the suspect,” she wrote.
“Kudos to the Gender Unit of the Nigerian Police, Lagos state command, Ikeja for the diligent efforts in investigating this case.”
