Rapper Tyga is facing a lawsuit from a Beijing management company that alleges he failed to appear for two scheduled performances despite receiving payment.
Beijing Tongxing Wanxin Catering Management is suing the rapper for alleged fraud and breach of contract, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The company claims Tyga agreed to make an appearance at Club Pac Star but failed to attend on either of the two scheduled dates in 2023. According to the lawsuit, the performances were initially scheduled for August 4 and October 27, 2023.
The management company alleges it was later told that Tyga would reschedule the appearance for the first or second quarter of 2024, but says the performance did not take place. The company claims it was owed $145,000 and received only $10,000 as part of a settlement, leaving an outstanding balance of $135,000.
It is asking the court to order repayment of the alleged balance with interest, as well as punitive damages. The allegations are claims made in the lawsuit and have not been determined by a court. The report did not include a response from Tyga or his representatives.
