Newsypeople- The only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II has returned to her Gatcombe Park home after a brief hospital stay for a concussion and minor head injuries sustained in a horse-related incident at her estate.

The 73-year-old Princess Royal was admitted to the Southmead Hospital in Bristol on June 23 as a precautionary measure following the incident, which is believed to have involved a horse. The Buckingham Palace said that Anne suffered “minor injuries and a concussion” and was expected to make a “full and quick recovery.”

Anne’s brother, King Charles III, was kept informed of her condition and joined the rest of the royal family in sending his “deepest love and best wishes” for her quick recovery. Sir Timothy Laurence, Anne’s husband, accompanied her to the hospital and expressed his gratitude to the medical team for their care and kindness during her short stay.

A week’s worth of royal engagements have been postponed by the Princess Royal, who is known for her extraordinary work ethic and dedication to her royal duties. Anne reportedly undertook 457 engagements in 2023, surpassing King Charles in the number of official duties.
