An abroad-based Nigerian nurse and former lawyer, Ezinne Ebebe, has claimed that only uneducated and unemployed men return to Africa to find wives with the sole purpose of bringing them overseas to study nursing and serve as financial cash cows.
According to her, educated men and healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, X-ray technicians, don’t go to Africa to find spouses.
She argued that these professionals typically choose wives from within their social circles, noting that they would only return to Africa to marry a longtime girlfriend.
