One arrested, another on the run as Anambra police probe viral video of ladies ass@ulting a young woman

The Anambra State Police Command has urged the public to remain calm following the circulation of a disturbing viral video showing two young women physically assaulting another girl in Umueri.

In a statement released, the command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest of one of the suspects, 19-year-old Chidimma Ogugua, who is currently in police custody.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was subjected to abuse following a dispute. The Command has strongly condemned the act, describing it as cruel, inhuman, and a direct violation of the law.

SP Ikenga noted that efforts have been intensified to apprehend the second suspect, who is currently on the run. The police are urging anyone with useful information regarding the incident to come forward, assuring that all information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
