Michael Barajas kidnap and assault a pregnant woman: A 36-year-old man has been detained by Michigan authorities on many counts related to the kidnapping and sexual abuse of a pregnant 22-year-old lady who was allegedly held prisoner for three weeks.
In a video broadcast to the sheriff’s office Facebook page, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson announced the arrest of Michael Barajas while displaying images of Barajas’s tattooed visage and his pointed teeth.
He said that the “tragedy” started after the woman was ejected from her house the week of Thanksgiving. The sheriff claimed that Barajas noticed her as she walked down the street, “sees the vulnerability, offers a shower, food, and warmth, and she accepts.”
But after he had her in his house, Barajas bound her to a bed and imprisoned her in a chamber with the windows fastened. Then, according to Swanson, Barajas trafficked her by inviting over a number of individuals whom he permitted to sexually assault her.
Before being transported to Hurley Medical Center in Flint on December 8 due to a medical emergency, the woman made unsuccessful attempts to flee. Hospital workers noticed the symptoms of abuse and alerted the police.
Swanson declared, “This guy, he’s a monster.”
The sheriff claimed that Barajas was “threatening that if she would not do everything that he wanted her to do, that he would bite her neck and rip out her throat” and compelled the lady to compose a note addressing him as “daddy.”
Michael Barajas Charges
Also, according to The Detroit News, Barajas was charged with seven felonies this week in Flint’s 67th District Court, including kidnapping, first-degree criminal sexual conduct, human trafficking, and assault with a dangerous weapon. According to Swanson, he is being held under a $250,000 bail.
